Governor

Governor:

-Appointed by President of India

Qualifications:

-He must be a Citizen of India

-He should have completed 35 years of age

-He must not hold any office of Profit Governor holds office for a term of five years

Removal:

Can be removed from office before the completion of tenure only by an order of President.

Power and function:

-He nominates one-sixth member to the state legislative council

-He can nominate one member of Anglo Indian community to State Assembly
