Question Hour & Zero Hour
Question Hour:
It is the first hour of every parliamentary sitting (Timing 11:00 to 12:00 hours)
Three type of questions are asked:-
Starred Question: Requires an oral answer, hence supplementary questions can follow.
Unstarred Question: Requires written answer, supplementary questions can not follow.
Short Notice Question: One that is asked by giving a notice of less than 10 days, it is answered orally.
Zero Hour
The time immediately following the Question Hour & before any listed business is taken up in the House
The term 'Zero Hour' is formally not recognized in our Parliamentary procedure
